Packing 2.0

So with the family swimming and kayaking at the lake, after a few days of work in Ottawa I went back home to oversee the long-term-storage pack up and prepare the house for sale.

Jamie, Rene, my mom, my sister, and Ali were so incredibly helpful — even Christopher let me intrude on his birthday celebrations. I would sort, the packers would pack, and Jamie would just come in behind vacuuming afterwards! Things that I didn’t even plan on doing, but thought to leave to the cleaners, got done: Like cleaning out the garage (again with Jamie and Rene’s help — thank you!), and scrubbing all the bathrooms (thanks Mom!).

Ali will kindly take care of the rest of the details while we’re gone, with help from Mom dropping off the van (thanks Bruce and Trish!), and Lori distributing the last of the food from our freezer. Having such a great crew of family and friends make it easier to leave from a physical standpoint because they help us get so much accomplished, but harder to leave from an emotional standpoint.

We’ll miss you all!

  1. I am so glad you had help from family and friends . It was a big job and I hope the house sells fast.
